So when we purchase our home with 50% cash down...
Will we be investigated by the DHS for breaking the laws of Republican finance kowtow? Will my hard work and diligence of 65 hours a week be seized by the authorities until a proper investigation has been conducted? After all, where does a member of the working caste acquire such large amounts of money in this day and age? It certainly couldn't be from the "hard work" that I continually hear the Republicans speak of?

3. Congratulations!
We're just under a year away from doing the same. We cannot wait!

(It'll be good to finally have time with my family once again and resume a 40 hour work week...)

Kudos to you!

8. and to you too!
we are glad to be out of the Big Dirty City and into a smaller town with some land.

we are giving up a regular house with a pool for a mobile home, but it will be great! the MH has 250 more square feet than my "stick house" and IIRC mobile homes are much more earth friendly to build and mantain

6. I paid my mortgage off last month
and so far there haven't been any black vans with multiple antennas outside my house, nor have guys in cheap suits and black shoes with white sox been knocking.

11. Right, which is what I did
although I'd rather have my pop than a paid off house.

4. I salute you
it's impossible for me. If I pay mine off before I die I'll be lucky and it's just an apartment really.

I don't have access to a quick link since I was laid off from the secondary mortgage dept of a bank. Google around, try Bank Secrecy Act and cash transactions. Be prepared to document every cent that you're paying in cash.
