Why does this song keep coming up in all my decades

Since I was a kid, this song has always been there. Tonight it seems so appropriate. BTW, I turned 50 in August 2005. Why is this song so relevent now as it was back in the 1960's?

1. In the 60s, one of the nuns at our school played this in class.

But nuns were really outspoken about war & drugs in those days. If that happened today Alberto Gonzeles would be knocking on the convent door. JD Hayworth would introduce a new bill to imprison nuns who dare speak out against the pResident while teaching in a classroom.

That song scared the crap outta me when it was playing top 40 back then. It is even worse now.

Sad to say we have not progressed, or if we have we are right back in that hell now.
