A conspiracy of silence
Edited on Sun Jul-09-06 10:32 AM by formercia
I know there will be those who poo pah this idea, but it deserves some discussion.

Fearless Leader likes to put those of his ilk in positions of power, not necessarily to engage in some grand conspiracy, unless you consider it a conspiracy of silence. Like most sociopaths, Fearless leader often fails to consider the long-term consequences of his actions.

A lodge member is required to keep silent on the affairs of other lodge members except in two cases, murder and treason.

He will regret his decisions,Methinks .

ALEXANDRA ROBBINS: Yeah. I actually want to back way up and talk about, at least as mention exactly what Skull and Bones is, because while some people on the East Coast have heard about the society, other people across the country have no idea that we are looking right now if the polls are correct, at what would be the first Skull and Bones versus Skull and Bones presidential election. That's pretty weird. Skull and Bones is America's most powerful secret society. It's based at Yale, where it's headquartered in a building called the Tomb, and Skull and Bones has included among its members, presidents, including presidents George W. Bush and his father, as well as William Howard Taft, Supreme Court Chief Justices, C.I.A. officials, cabinet members, congressmen and senators. What makes it so staggering that we could have a Skull and Bones versus Skull and Bones, Kerry versus Bush election is that this is a tiny tiny club. There are only 800 living members. Only 15 per year. It's staggering that two of them could be facing off for the presidency and so many of them have achieved positions of prominence. One of the interesting and I think disturbing things about Skull and Bones is that its purpose is to get members into positions of power and have those members hire other members into prestigious positions. This is something we have seen with George W. Bush since his ascendancy to the presidency, he has put several Bones members into prestigious positions, such as Bill Donaldson, the head of the Securities and Exchange Commission. The number two and number three guys in the Justice Department, the guy that puts out all of Bush's secrecy memos. His assistant Attorney General is a major Bonesman. Bonesman Frederick Smith was Bush's top choice for Secretary of Defense until he had to withdraw for health reasons. The general council of the Office of Homeland Security, the Secretary of Defense’s representative to Europe. The list goes on and on and on. That's something that's interesting, because George W. Bush likes to feign his distance from Yale, from Bones, from Northeastern establishment elite connections, and yet he's going ahead and following Skull and Bones to the letter.

1. it's always amazed me that, in the 2004 election, our two choices . . .
were both members of one of the most exclusive clubs in the world . . . and that so many former presidents and other high government officials were also members of this very same club . . .

were I a suspicious person, I'd find this all very, very scary . . .

2. I voted for Kerry, of course,
but I had a very suspicious feeling during that whole campaign b/c of the Skull & Bones connection. Secret societies that exist to garner power for its members aren't places I'd look for a candidate for all the people.

3. You have to know what S&B represents
They admit only 15 members a year and they choose them from men who were born to be rich and powerful, who have shown natural leadership in the first 3 years at one of the most exclusive ivy league universities in the country. In short, they are there to identify the elites, not manufacture them.

It now turns out there was considerable arm twisting going on by Poppy and his own frat brothers to get Stupid tapped as a third generation S&B member, and the guy who finally caved and tapped him has since publicly expressed his regret at doing so. It was felt at the time he just didn't fit in with the standards S&B had set in the past, and the present has borne this out completely.

S&B membership is as much an honor in its own way as Phi Beta Kappa. Other than that, it's just another stupid frat with stupid hazing and stupid "traditions" meant to ensure solidarity among its members. I doubt that one cohort has much alliegance to the next, and Kerry seems to have abandoned the S&B tradition of never opposing another member over anything.

Note: I did try to find the article about the man who tapped Bush to become a member of S&B. The article is 3 years old and after 8 pages of Google nonsense about S&B and Satanism I gave up.
