1. no others
Bonior was the majority leader at one point and minority whip (second in command both times) and was pro life but he left to run against Granholm and others to be gov of Michigan and lost. Pro lifers do provide one fourth of the votes that Democrats get BTW so one leadership position out of 8 or so isn't too much to ask.

2. Reid is anti-abortion but pro woman
He's not for theocratic rule of a woman's body.

3. Please explain in English what that means. Either he's pro-choice, or he's

not.

You can be "anti-abortion" and still be pro-choice. I was under the impression Sen. Reid was not pro-choice. I approve of many things he has done and said, but that's one area where I disagree with him vehemently.

5. It means that if you asked him if you should have an abortion
He would probably tell you that you shouldn't because it is morally wrong. It is assumed that if you are pro-choice personally you would tell that person that you have no moral opinion on it, it is up to them. I'm not saying the assumption is correct, but it is the assumption. However, Harry Reid will not support anti-abortion legislation or anti-choice judges so for all important purposes, he's pro-choice.

8. In other words, HE'S PRO-CHOICE
Pro-choice doesn't mean you gotta LIKE IT. It means you just know you can't regulated against it.

9. If he's not working to make abortion against the law
he's pro-choice. That, to me, is the definition of pro-choice.

4. He is a Mormon -- and that religion has a poor attitude toward women
I don't know how any woman can be part of that female degrading religion.

You don't filibuster anti-choice judges if you're not pro-choice.
