Life is Shorter Than You Think
Human Beings don’t want to die, but they All know they will die.

Some react to this by taking the road of “Most toys in the end, Win.”

Some react by choosing a God that will save them now. Or at least, later. And maybe, Forever.

Some, like me, watch the Show and vacillate between laughter and despair.

However rosy People want to believe the United States of America’s Government is, they are sadly mistaken. Every single Department within the Federal Government has been bought by Corporations whose bottom line depends upon the US guidelines set for American citizens to live within. Americans are expendable for the almighty dollar in the pockets of the Top 1%.

EPA? Global Warming is not happening. Er, if it is, it is Natural. Healthy Forests initiative. Clear Skies. Etc.

FDA? All drugs approved by us are Safe and Effective. Anything unapproved by Pharm-controlled panels is DANGEROUS. Despite evidence to the contrary.

FEMA Or whatever they renamed it: You Are On Your Own.

DOD The supposed entity for The Common Defense. Why do they pay private contractors like Blackwater more than our voluntary military forces in War Zones?

I could go on, but it gets tedious to point it out over and over again.

Americans need to get over this “wannabeism” and look at where their tax dollars actually go. Blaming the poor, blaming the victims, blaming other countries, blaming fake boogie men, blaming Your Neighbor is WRONG.

Supporting Corporate Welfare in America for Your own selfish interests is pretty sad, but it seems to have become the American Way, even here.

What Goes Around, Comes Around.

5. another one for EPA
All commercial chemicals are safe. To prove it we are shutting down our research libraries so no one will be able to access all the research that has been done. To be fair - EPA scientists have written their objection but the shut down is already in progress.

6. Thanks for a perfect example.
Government supersedes industry/education consensus, selectively.

Oh, yeah, I've read about Scientists within who disagree with political appointees who disregard information or contort it to make policy. Obviously I'm not blaming them.

7. I think it already has come around.
I remember the attempted brainwashing of even myself, when outsourcing wasn't even sexy but it was suddenly introduced into my work environment. This was back in the early eighties. Boss said to me that the company was eventually going to eliminate this whole floor (of people really working hard) and we will simply contract the work out.

I questioned why this was a good solution. Where would everyone go to work? Ans. They would go to work for the various companies who did the work. And why would this save money? The market competition would determine it. And how? The lowest bidder would get the job. In the meantime this office would be the only thing left and we would still produce the same work for less money. Oh, yeah. *yawn*

I moved on (I was fed up and found a job I liked better, well with less money) and the company finally found out without a department to run that Mr. Capitalist wasn't needed either.

:-) I rather laughed.

Thanks! The hardest part is that people bury their heads about certain issues. They refuse to See The Ugly Truth.

I don't like looking at it either, but hey.

PS: I Loved Your story about Your first meet with Your Irish Man. I know You miss him.

9. Tears of joy.
We can cry with joy or with sorrow.

It is not competition which separates us, but violation of fairness. There is no greater thing than inspiration. We must strive for sophistication and knowledge. Because life is important.
