Pat Buchanan sure seems to be a favorite on liberal talk shows these days
He's on Franken (Lawrence O'Donnell subbing) now.

Maybe this is part of a strategy to sharpen the rifts within the Right, and give legitimacy and respect to right wing critiques of Bush.

1. Buchanan - the voice of reason
except when it comes to immigration issues.

2. Not immigration; Race.
Let's be brutally honest. Buchanan has no problem with immigration, as long as it comes from the right ethnic groups.

4. He has lost it ...
with Bushco ...

Even a year ago, he was towing the partisan line ...

But, I think he really had kept a lid on his disdain for going into Iraq, and he knows these idiots have a raging hardon to start up with Iran, and he can't stand in line behind them anymore ...

It is nice when any RWer talks out, but most of the time I dismiss them as just wanting to not be associated with Bushco while still more than willing to jump to the next idiot that the right bring ups ... He probably is the same, but I do believe he has some very clear ideological differences with this crew ...

5. It's probably a good thing to tie him to the GOP's tail really tightly...
remember the embarassing speech he gave at the GOP convention in '92 that helped Clinton/Gore?

7. I am no fan of Pat Buchanan
but he isn't altogether wrong and he certainly has issues with our current group in the White House. I guess even a stopped clock is correct twice per day.

8. He was on Coast to Coast AM last night
and was solidly reamed by callers after he hung up. It was good to hear.

9. I don't like it. Pat Buchanan is certified anti-semite and racist.
I don't mind them bringing conservatives on and grilling them. But I think O'Donnell gave him a soft ball interview. I want those conservatives asked very hard questions. Pat should have been forced to admit his biases instead of being allowed to quote Patrick Moynihan out of context.
