The stupidity that is Fox News
Edited on Wed Sep-13-06 08:34 PM by MichaelHarris
I would like nothing more than to see this current administration in prison for it's lies and deception. It's misuse of God for votes should appall all Christians. While watching Bill Oreilly and the show that follows I saw an attack on some comment Rosie O'Donnell made on her new show. Now up front I do not like Rosie for other reasons, none have to do with her sexuality. Her hypocrisy on guns formed my opinion on her. Her comment, paraphrased was "radical Christianity is as dangerous as radical Islam".

It was this that caused the bobbling heads of Fox News to explode. None have given a reason or an example as to why her comment was false, they just turned it into the fact that she was a Democrat. It is this message the Republican party has used to divide America. They want you to believe the Republican party is the party of God, that's all they want, to shame you into voting Republican to prove yourself to God. It has worked.

Well if Fox News won't use examples I will. Just what did the Branch-Davidians have? When a federal agent knocks at your door do you answer or do you just start shooting? Some may feel the government acted irresponsible but I have first hand experience with groups like this, I lost a best friend to a similar group. Here is what was found after the standoff:

Amongst the more than 200 weapons cataloged were:

* 19 SGW CAR-AR assault submachine guns (three fitted with silencers), nine other silencers

* 8 hand grenades and at least 31 other grenade parts and fragments, more than 20 pieces and fragments of rockets (apparently used to make rocket-propelled grenades) along with 1 sight for a rocket-propelled grenade launcher.

* 3 Israeli-made IMI Galil assault rifles

* 10 Ruger Mini-14 assault rifles (one with a mounted scope)

* A barrel for a M60 machine gun

* 1 30 mm rocket shell

* 9 FAL assault rifles (three mounted on bipods)

* At least 54 AK-47 or AKS assault rifles (some converted to fully automatic submachine guns)

* 11 .12-gauge shotguns (one with a sawed-off barrel)

* Dozens of pistols

* Dozens of barrels for M-16s, AR-15s and other weapons

* Gas masks and one chemical warfare suit

* Several Kevlar tactical vests and other body armor and eight Kevlar helmets.

Also found were lathes, milling equipment and other tooling machinery, which essentially substantiated the suspicions of authorities, who believed that Koresh and the Davidians were engaged in the illegal conversion of assault rifles to automatic weapons and the manufacture of crude "grease guns."

Why did a church need these items? In an earlier article I once said, "Why do these people stockpile weapons and Hostess Twinkies? Do they think if Jesus comes and they don't get Raptured will they have to shoot Jesus to protect the Twinkies? Wouldn't Jesus want them to share the Twinkies?"

From this came Oklahoma City and Tim McVey, does Fox really believe that there are no Christian terrorists? How many clinics have been blown up in the name of God? How many people have been killed and mauled by the dirty nail-filled bombs these people have made? Is this not terror?

I could fill this thread with information about the Crusades, the total destruction of a race of Native Americans called the Arawak. Volumes could be written about the attempted conversion of tribes all over the world, were any of those people terrorized? These conversions were all carried out in the name of Christianity and people died.

So was Rosie wrong? All we have to do is look at history for that answer.

1. Anything that is on the extreme
is dangerous. If the new Jesus Camp documentary isn't enough to make you wet your pants, something is wrong.

6. No
she was very outspoken in support of complete gun control while secretly making her security staff apply for firearms licenses.

8. That's not hypocritical
Why should she disarm her security when her family was threatened by gun nuts. Maybe someday our police won't carry guns like the bobbies.
