1. We had films of them taken at night
when Los Alamos burned down. That's incredibly scary, you can see nothing but the whirlwind of flame that's hidden in the smoke in this photo.

Firestorms are terrible things.

2. More like a fire dust devil.
Dust devils go from the ground up.

Tornados come from the clouds down.
