What they dont seem to get
When they criticise the UN they are criticising the World. Its not the organisation that isnt doing what the right wants, its the world that the UN represents. What they are really saying when they bitch about UN policies is that they dont like this world and what it stands for. The UN is the World. Everyone is represented. Well almost everyone.

Its not the World whose at fault here. Its the few running this country and their rubberstamp followers.

2. The US is becoming increasingly isolated.
It's not a good thing; we can't operate in this world with a closed fist and no allies.

4. this is true on every level
and even more so today than in the past.

Business and communication - thanks mainly to technology and changing attitudes - is increasingly global, and to attempt isolation now is foolish on so many levels. Especially if "we" (as a nation) continue to think we can just use up the world's resources without recourse.
