Leahy is on the Newshour right now rebutting the WH on illegal surveilance
Edited on Mon Jan-23-06 07:23 PM by Stephanie
They had Gonzales on but I only half-listened. More platitudes about keeping us safe and lies about how even discussing the topic helps the enemy.

Now Leahy is on saying that the WH asked for further powers, and Congress said no. "We did not give him authority for illegal spying on Americans. Period."

5. Thank you, Senator Leahy.
I listened to Bush today for a little over a minute. Heard him say that he had informed Congress about the spying. Lies. All lies.
