King George III - "I'm mindful of YOUR civil liberties"
During his speech today at KSU Bush responded to critics of his illegal, warrant-less spying.

http://www.thekansascitychannel.com/politics/6369478/detail.html

Bush said the spying program was targeted at communications between people in the United States and al Qaida associates overseas. He said he made sure he was acting within the law before authorizing the program after his aides suggested it.

"I'm mindful of your civil liberties and so I had all kinds of lawyers review the process,"

Shouldn't he have said OUR civil liberties? Since when is he not one of us? When the next President is spying on Bush will he accept as a reasonable response that s/he tried to be "mindful" of his civil liberties?

What a blatant freudian nod to the Bush Crime Syndicate's assumption of power and elitism over the peons.

Admit it George.
"THEY" don't hate us for our freedoms.
YOU DO!

2. I noticed that, too. Psycho-paternalism on steroids.
Junior's a malignant narcissist - there's no limit to how whacked he'll get.

4. LOL. So that means something has shriveled up...
Although in his case, it'd be his brain.

11. Do you really think so? I don't see MN there.
He's not as sure of himself as most MN are. Sure, he swaggers but it's so fake, so put on. He doesn't swagger very well. lol

I think he has some autism going and is continually assuming attitudes that either he or someone thinks are appropriate. He can't assume actual roles because that's too complex for him.

Whatever.

13. I don't think we've ever seen the "real" George Jr.
I've always believed he was the "puppet" President. His public persona is so inconsistent. Frankly, he exhibits more characteristics of an abuse victim than anything else.

15. I see what you mean. There can be lots of reasons
for a personality to be so disjointed or intermittant, if you will.

My own partner's chemistry "abuses" him left to itself, which is why I first think of some position on the autism spectrum.

But, at bottom, he does seem to need a "puppet master", doesn't he?

7. Abu Gonzalez was on PBS/Jim Lehrer tonight. Blaming Congress
Kept trying to imply that Congress had given King George permission to wiretap without warrants, when they gave him the Sheriff's badge to go to Iraq.

Abu hates us for our freedoms too.

12. That Is What Worries Me
He is the War Prezzident and He has war on his mind,
so if he is mindful of our civil liberties,
does that mean he is making war on them?

In PNAC/Bush Crime Syndicate speak = the Constitution guarantees rights ONLY to the mighty corporations. Not the peasants.

16. PNACons (pee na cons). . .
Edited on Tue Jan-24-06 03:23 AM by pat_k
. . . you, know, the PNAC crowd and their fellow neo-fascists -- the ones pissing on our constitutional democracy.

PNACon Rule 1 -- If you don't get caught, it can't be wrong.

PNACon Rule 2 -- If you do get caught, can't be a crime when no laws apply to you!

They've made it clear that they believe 911 vested unlimited power in the Executive Branch -- Constitution be damned. A ticking bomb could be out there! Anything goes!.

Actually, they've always believed that the righteousness of their small cadre justifies any action required to gain and wield power, 911 just enabled them to be more blatant about it. "We the People" has always meant "We the 'Right' People; We the Powerful and Superior." As superior beings, great wealth is their natural reward. Since no law defined by others applies to them, any avenue that yields their rightful rewards is open for their exploitation.

17. Not unlike when he refers to "THE" people.
You hear him say it all the time... "THE" people, as if he were referring to the citizens of another country... or THE sheep on somebody else's ranch. Listening to Kerry's speech last week, I noticed that he always referred to "OUR" people, OUR citizens, OUR governed, etc.

22. The Silverspoon Sociopath broke the Law.
It is time to Impeach and find him guilty of High Crimes and throw him out of office. VP Cheney needs to be Impeached, as well.
