If this bill is passed, couldn't Dem senators opposing it be arrested
immediately? Bush just called us "obstructionists" and we are said to be "aiding terrorists"...?? What's to stop them?

7. If that were to happen it would wake up some
of the lazy 'Americans' in my neighborhood that are just not paying attention. It would certainly get the masses rolling!

12. It would be too late
By the time they "got rolling", Bush would declare martial law and what remains of the US military in the streets, to assist with his dictatorship.

3. ABSOLUTELY!
If Bush doesn't like something someone else does, he can put them away, accuse them of being friendly to the enemy, and that person has NO RIGHTS!

The Dems are FOOLISH to stick to their agreement to not filibuster.

4. I Can't Believe You Have No Faith Or Trust In The repubs
Edited on Thu Sep-28-06 04:11 PM by OrangeCountyDemocrat
They are honorable and honest. If they say what their intentions are, then you can believe them. They're repubs, and don't believe in lying.

:sarcasm: -- Edited for clarification

Just trying to give my Jon Stewart sarcastic angle on things, even as I'm PISSED AND DEPRESSED.

14. Well, I'm afraid I'm not being sarcastic here. When I read of * calling
Edited on Thu Sep-28-06 04:18 PM by nickyt
us "obstructionists" a few moments ago, and then remembering that many of us are called "traitors" and people who "empower terrorists", it all of a sudden felt like a set up.
I am pretty sure no arrests will occur on the Senate floor today, but the way things are going, I thought I'd share this "vision".
And yes, it's little pissants like me who are goin' down. I've told my family and friends to not be surprised if I disappear. And I am standing by with a CD of "Amazing Grace" to play full blast when the death knell of my country is sounded today.

5. Not going to happen, and
honestly that's not my concern. My concern is for people who aren't powerful or wealthy. A dem Senator dragged off to detention is just not going to happen.

13. Yeah...ask Thom Daschel
He wasn't dragged off. He was anthraxed. At least Leahy had the intestinal fortitude to stay and fight it out. Daschel got spooked and started rolling over for belly-rubs from BushCo every chance he got. Must have been some interesting stuff they found in his office during the Hart Office lockdown.

17. Opinion is not fact.
I have no evidence about who perpetrated the anthrax crime, and neither do you. It's just silly, this kind of palaver.

be considered obstructionist as well?

These monsters aren't passing this bill out of kindness. They want it so they can use it.
