The Accidental President
There was a blip on CNN showing Bush visiting a school and saying that he was going to "address" (not sure about the exact term) school violence.

And the term The Accidental President popped into my head.

All his recent appearances show him grasping for something to appear "Presidential." To show that, yes, he is relevant while all the Republican Congressmen running for re-election are running away from him as fast as they can.

I don't think that there is a single voter - except Laura and Babs - who actually believe that Bush has ever had the qualification to be a president. I think that the most devout Republicans, the ones who would vote for him today would agree that he is a featherweight, still a frat boy, but that they trust the adults - Cheney, Rumsfeld - to take care of the agenda.
