IIn just over a month, since MSNBC's Keith Olbermann began a blistering attack on the Bush administration, his ratings have soared 69 percent, the Associated Press observed Monday, citing figures from Nielsen Media Research. According to A.P., the sudden rise in Olbermann's audience -- it now exceeds CNN's Paula Zahn in the time period but amounts for less than half of FNC's Bill O'Reilly -- can be traced to his Countdown commentary following Donald Rumsfeld's speech equating Iraq War opponents to pre-World War II appeasers.

Keith is a perfect (and serious) counterpart to Stewart & Colbert. I love how Olbermann is willing to speak directly to Bush. I don't know if he is the only one writing his commentaries or if they have writing help, but he is terrific.

but the weird thing is that the anchor still swears after all these years that it's "fake news". He's funny that way. I let him get away with it because I know better - it's actually the important news spun in a hilarious manner. Boy it sure has made it easier to take the relentlessly bad news in the last few years.

However, Keith's numbers dipped from 800k last week to 600k this week. Bill O'reilly had about 2.2 mil.

You have to remember apart of this crowd watching O'Reilly is the same part of the 20million that listen to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, they are looking for back up to their hollow views.


Keith I think will over take Bill in the key demographic areas if not the over all, ethier way..

of that 69%. My wife is a huge sports fan, and we remember KO from 'way back when; she listens to the Dan Patrick show on Sirius when KO is on, religiously. ;)
