Kerry on "white flag of surrender" charge: "lie", lied, "lie", "lie" . . .

ABC's George Stephanopoulos: "You heard the President. He said the Democrats like you who want a fixed timetable for withdrawal from Iraq are waving the white flag of surrender In the War on Terror."

Sen. Kerry: "That's reprehensible. It's a lie. The administration has lied in the walkup to the war. They've lied in the conduct of the war. And they have made America less safe. And the President just misled America again in that interview."

Oct. 22, 2006 — In an exclusive appearance on "This Week with George Stephanopoulos," Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., rebuked President Bush's assertion that those who advocate a timetable for withdrawing from Iraq are supporting "surrender."

"That's reprehensible. It's a lie," Kerry said.

"The president just misled America again in that interview," he said. "Al Qaeda is not the problem in Iraq."

Kerry called McCain's approach a "fantasy" and reiterated that Bush must get tougher with the leaders of the newly formed Iraqi government.

7. That was obvious two years ago and the still stole the election
It amazes me that people can condone the stupidity of bu$h when compared to someone like Bill Clinton or John Kerry.

16. agree, up to a point, but he did NOT ever use theL word, AFAIK.
that's the sort of thing I'm talking about

they'd have made a HUGE deal out of it had he called bush a liar; no way to keep that swept under the rug, and that's what he SHOULD have done, in the most emphatic terms, especially when the Swiftboat story came out. He didn't react emphatically enough then. He's admitted that.

13. So all the people who worked tirelessly for Kerry under the
promise that he would not concede until every vote was counted should "stop whining"? Yeah.. uh.. Ok.. if you say so. :eyes:

15. were YOU able to make an actionable case against the election?
I'm still waiting for one. It's not like folks haven't been trying since day one.

btw, Bush didn't need Kerry's concession to assume power.

17. Do you have any proof?
If not, it's very possible the people that replied to you have a valid point.

8. K/R
It is so good to see some politicians and MSM journalists use the "L" word on BushCo. May more follow the examples of Keith Olberman and John Kerry.

18. I thought the 2004 Kerry was excellent...
and he was - but he has gotten better. He has obviously learned from the experience.

I don't think anyone could speak more clearly than Senator Kerry did today. Go Senator, Go!
