Webb has done a good job of explaining how the passages represent cultural and historical realities. Allen's attacks are making him look childish and immature. I hope Webb stays above such nonsense and continues to promote himself as a mature alternative.

1. Allen would have been better off if the information had come from another source
But because he released it--and it's not exactly news either, as some of the novels are over 20 years old--it looks like an act of desperation.

But let's see what the polls say. After "Macaca" and the n-word incidents that should have been the end for Allen, but it wasn't. There are a lot of racist fucks in Virginia, who frankly like that kind of talk.

3. When Tweety starts foaming at the mouth because he's so angry
at Allen for this mud slinging, things are not going well for Felix on this one! Watch the poll numbers plummet.;)

6. I think a lot of VA voters on the fence are going to be angry with Allen over this.
It would appear that Allen thinks his constituents are easily manipulated sheep who care more about fiction than the real world issues.

Allen has insulted the voters, and most people don't appreciate being insulted.

7. Webb wrote a novel. The dialogue reflects the character's mindset.

Prostitution did exist in Vietnam during the war and it was demeaning to the women. Webb simply wrote about a horrible historical truth. Anyone who is too stupid to recognize that was not going to vote for him anyway.

12. Hey Felix...How About Your Story About Your Divorce....
I hear it's a great read...a true story with all the elements of a good soap opera. Who knows, maybe we'll find out Felix had a few sexual "situations" himself or he showed what a real man's man he was in using his ex as a punching bag or just verbally abused her. Of course, this great work of NON FICTION seems not to be yet available...but now if we're all real good and keep asking Mr. Allen endlessly for the next 10 days about seeing that divorce decree...it's only fair...since we've had to read Mr. Webb's work, I think the voters in Virginia would enjoy reading this epic as well...
