Duncan Hunter to run for Pres in '08? Press Conf. Tuesday
I nearly lost my dinner when I read this. I can't think of a worse candidate for President than Hunter, my representative here in the 52nd Congressional district.

Ok, folks, please post your anti-Hunter info here -- all the scandals, corruption, bad votes and unethical actions--with links to show the media and the public why Hunter should NOT be president!

2. Well, it's not like the rethugs have a lot of legitimate candidates.
McCain is likely to self destruct and Giuliani won't pass muster from the RWers.

Hunter is a slug, but so are all the other rethugs.

11. True, the GOP must be scraping the bottom of the barrel
to dredge up Hunter. He's far from clean.

3. I think we've got bigger fish to fry right now.
Let me announce...we'll have 2 years to research his past. I think he's tainted with Abramoff/Cunningham. He may well end up running his campaign from the Federal Pen.

10. I disagree...It's important to use this opportunity to tell the media
all about Hunter's sordid history. He's up for reelection, after all, and besides any positive press on Hunter could hurt Dems in all local races -- and vice versa.

Never been a Governor
Not even a Senator

What does he want to run for president? Tiddly Winks?

8. Hunter Chairs the House Armed Services Committee. He's the biggest Bush shill in Congress.
Whenever they need a Rethug to hold a press conference in support of administration policies like war, torture, and dismantling our Constitution, they trot out Hunter.

His biggest campaign contributors are defense contractors and Titan, whose employees were implicated in torture at Abu Ghraib. He's been involve in more scandals than I can count, and votes the wrong way on virtually everything except NAFTA/CAFTA.

15. He took money from the guys who bribed Cunningham.
After Cunningham got caught, Hunter gave his share away.

The man never met a lobbyist he didn't like, it seems.

17. Hunter is dirtier than Cunningham. But smarter.
Hunter is known down San Diego ways as the "Defense Contractors Best friend". The Papers have been writing about him and his warmongering stance and kickback action for over 20 years.
He just knows how to cover his tracks better than his ole buddy "Duke" Cunningham.
Slimy and crooked as they come, but Freeps will love him.

He thinks the Limbaugh "Libruls-are-to-blame" is the answer to everything. Even turned to it in his Prez announcement. He'll fare somewhere along the lines of Pat Paulsen, who had the advantage of knowing he was funny.
