I want you to picture something.
January, 2007.

The pomp and circumstance of the State of the Union address decorates every television network in the land.

"Ms. Speaker!" comes the announcement, "the President of the United States!"

The chamber stands in unison and applauds as Bush walks in to deliver his second-to-last SOTU address. The applause is warm, befiting the appropriate honor bestowed upon the office. Bush shakes hands, winks, nods and makes his way to the dias.

At which two things become readily apparent.

There are more Democrats than Republicans in the room.

And Nancy Pelosi is seated behind Bush, next to a snarling Cheney.

This is what I see, what I work for, what I pray for, what I believe in.

This is the vision I intend to have after the New Year.

3. Just a quibble
Wouldn't it be Madame Speaker?

And the Democrats shouldn't give him any applause at all. Certainly the Repukes probably refused to applaud when Clinton was President, am I right?

10. They'll applause him but it will be meek.
Just like they applauded for President Clinton. What will happen is the applause on the repuke side will be louder as they know the Democrats are barely applauding their idiot-in-chief. And I know one thing, the Democrats will not have someone sitting in the front signaling to them to stand and applause when they are told as the republicans did back in 2000. They can't deny it because it was caught on tape.

12. Madame Speaker it is!! And the Democrats should applaud the OFFICE
You don't have to respect the tiny man holding it presently, but the Congress should respect the OFFICE, just as the President should respect the CONGRESS. We're too classy a bunch to pout and behave childishly.

The GOP applauded Clinton as he entered, even if halfheartedly. The old school ones admired his political genius, the others went along with the crowd.

... announces that he is resigning and will check into a rehab facility to overcome his delusions of grandeur and other psychotic hallucinations. Cheney jumps to his feet (* has obviously gone off script) and collapses with massive blood-pump failure (he doesn't have a heart, you know). The room erupts.

the Congress will be overriding: minimum wage increase, *real* social security reform, environmental safeguards, health-care regulations, new education bills to replace Every Child Left Behind, stem-cell research, enforcement of sunshine laws on energy policy decisions, etc. etc.

I'm visualing it right now. However, I don't think that the applause will be loud nor warm. It will be cordial for the respect of the office, not the man occupying it. And Cheney's snarl will be bigger than ever and he'll be shifting in his seat a lot and Bush will look really uncomfortable too.

There are 70% Democrats in the room.

Speaker of the House John Conyers is sitting next to VP Russ Feingold

49. Mr. Pitt. . .metaphysical journalist at large. . .
Who'd of thunk it. . .?

Kudos.

Visualizing now and until that eventuality of relative justice occurs.

Of course it may seem irrational but so are those in power. They have consistantly refuted all our rational tools and theories purported by some of the greatest intellects of this land. The arguments which are inclusive of verification through copious data from mathmatical and scientific sources are marginalized, they have denied history, and have done so with presumed impunity for nearly 6 years if ya haven't noticed.

They simply dismiss our claims as "reality based." TRANSLATION: They are using low level magic and mind control. Their's is based on falsehood and fear whereas if we draw from our more spirtual truth and love and humor, can you imagine what would be possible. . ?

As to the more current issue of elections. . .

An affirmation for a week from now that may just support this vision. . .
Every time you feel the intense sorrow about anticipating the sometimes
seemingly inevitable defeat, consider stiffening your spine, focusing your mind and saying aloud or thinking really loudly and firmly. . .

"I'm co creating with spirit that any malicious code implanted or secreted in the vote tally counting software be neutralized in the upcoming elections, and any malfeasance that does occur be so blatant that it will be exposed andcorrected immedietely, so that the true will of the electorate will be revealed and true justice can be restored." (feel free to modify, through simplification or augmentation as you feel is appropriate)

If they can rig 'em we can fix 'em. . .with our hearts and minds.

Let us simply try.

It truly can't hurt.
