The race in VA is pretty tight, and I decided today to speak out

to each and every person I meet about Jim Webb. I'm wearing my Webb shirt and just about everyone I have run into today has commented.

I have replied with the following: "Yes, Macaca is not only a racist and a misogynist, but there is speculation on the internet that he beat his first wife. Given what his sister wrote about his abuses towards her, it isn't hard to believe".

Three women JUST THIS MORNING told me that there is no way they could vote for him if he beat his wife.

So, let the swiftboating begin.

swayed a voter until I mentioned the rumors on the internet that Doolittle had already been indicted. I then lost the voter. I'm going to stick to the facts from now on. :shrug:

The other canvassers say they are winning votes also. Voters don't like the corruption and like that Charlie is not a career politician. I have great success telling them about his son serving and how his son wanted him to run. The latest polls are very close. Charlie had a post at DailyKos yesterday telling about the recent attack ads. Doolittle is desperate.

42. HA HA HA.... Funny post lunch update.

I had to take my husband to the cardiologist to have his stitches removed. We were sitting there in the waiting room when this elderly white man came out and stopped in front of me and looked at my shirt.

He said, sort of to himself, actually. "Vote for Jim Webb? Haven't given it much thought."

Elderly black man sitting across from me mumbles, loud enough for everyone to hear "Well, what kind of a dumbass would you have to be to vote for Allen".
