While we should be calling all Democratic senators and urging them to support John Kerry in his quest for a filibuster against Samuel Alito’s nomination to the Supreme Court, the following have terms expiring this year and should get some extra attention:

I’ve intentionally excluded Ben Nelson (D-NE) because he’s a GOP-lite piece of trash who has already announced his support for Alito. Also note that Senator Paul Sarbanes (D-MD) is retiring but should still get a call.

The DFL party will likely be choosing between Amy Klobuchar and Ford Bell to run against the Republican lapdog Mark "Screech" Kennedy (who is currently the 6th district representative).
