You Are Being Watched - Part One, Two and Three
Edited on Sat Dec-02-06 09:26 AM by leftyladyfrommo
From Hines Sight this morning.

http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory?id=2692400

New Rules compel firms to track e-mails. (So be very careful what e-mail you send from you company computer system)

New Federal rules compel companies to keep track of all e-mails, IMs & electronic documents.

(Although I have really been amazed at the kind of stuff people send from work e-mail. You would think they would know better.)

The other You Are Being Watched was for the new x-ray machine being tried out where you just look nude (I won't ever fly again if I have to go thru that thing.)

And the special new terrorist rating for foreign travelers (isn't that the dumbest thing?)

1. Okay so they'll x-ray me nude.
I have a gut and an almost-as-large bulge approximately 3.82 inches below that.

They can read my e-mails. Maybe they'll be entertained by my review of the latest DVD release I just bought to friends or say why I don't download movies. They'll love my netflix notifications. Oh, and they'll know the software order from Corel was just shipped.

I'm as boring as they come, but I don't mind the attention.

Now if only Agent Carol would ask me on a date. I hope she likes red roses, I'd buy her a dozen and a box of candy. :)

2. Oh, companies have been doing this forever. And it hasn't stopped
anyone from sending the shit they send...

As for the x-ray machine... I think its a little excesive. I'm sure the screeners have so much fun with those things.

3. Paris Hilton will probably want to make a whole bunch of passes thru the thing.
I have noticed that I am getting a lot more paranoid. My friends and I are even careful what we say over the phone. We have kind of a code that we use. And only talk about stuff person to person.

That is really very sad.

But I'm sorry. I draw the limit at going thru that X-ray machine. Next thing will be strip searches. This has got to stop somewhere.

Will Someone Please Draw The Line!

4. In the future, strip searches will be know as the starting point
of Americans getting physically fit and their bodies all toned. Gee something good can come out of anything.

5. The terrorist rating system aims at *everyone* who crosses US borders.
Massive terror screening on Americans' international travel draws outrage

And it has been secretly ongoing since 2002.

This needs to end, and end now.

6. When did our world become Brave New World?
This was such a silent invasion. Didn't take much, did it?

7. It became Brave New World on December 12, 2000, the day of The Great Clampdown.
When *ushCo buried us alive in propaganda, illegal wars, theft of our

treasury, maiming and killing of our military, outing our secret agents,

weakening our defenses, gutting our incomes, raping our environment, starving

our schools, stripping our civil liberties, criminally neglecting the

devastation from Hurricane Katrina, repudiating scientific advancement,

spying on us, taking unconstitutional powers over our government,

pitting American against American.

What * has done will be no match for The People's Wrath.

8. One can only hope we are strong enough and smart enough
to rise above this stuff.

But we have done it before. There have been lots of really dark times in out history and we have pulled ourselves out.
