Anyone listening to Pete Stark on CSPAN1 talking about health care plans
for this year. He's talking to a group of doctors. Putting the focus on serving patients and those in need. This is a good listen.

1. making the case for Universal Health Care
:bounce:

He's ranking member of the Ways and Means Health Subcommitee now, does that mean he will be the Chairman after the swearing in?

3. No, but I'm listening to Glenn Beck
Glenn Beck just went into a rant about how Jesus had a choice of careers. The gist of that reasoning seems to be that Glenn thinks Jesus had a choice as to whether to be the son of God and fulfill the destiny his father had promised the Jews.

4. I was wondering:
What are Beck's qualifications regarding theology? Degrees? Papers?

8. Pete Stark is one of my new heroes in Congress! He-was-AWESOME! His 5 year old twins
seem to have the same 'spunk' he has too.

I LOVED how he told the doctors what they needed to hear. I noticed the room wasn't full though.:( I suppose the doctors who didn't show up knew what Pete was going to say and didn't want to hear it? Heaven forbid a doctor who takes the Hippocratic oath should care more about his patient's health than his bank account.:eyes: I loved the suggested mandatory emergency room service idea. "If you don't want to contribute to the emergency room at your local hospital, BE A PLUMBER!" Man, I bet THAT pissed a few docs off!:7
