Poll question: If Gore decided to run would you support all other candidates withdrawing
in favor of him and uniting behind Gore in 2008?

1. No. I support Gore, but he should still compete for the nomination
Everyone withdrawing would not serve the party well at all.

2. Much as I support Al Gore, what you propose seems contrary to the spirit
of the United States of America and the Founding Dads who created it.

I vote no.

3. Gore is not my first choice
So, I wouldn't want them to withdraw in the name of unity.
And even if he was my first choice, I'd oppose everyone else withdrawing.

5. No because he isn't who I want.
I'd vote for him and support him in any way if he were to get the nod but I want someone else to get it.

6. I love my Gore! However...
..., I want a good discussion of the issues. And I want a final candidate who is aware of all of the issues that concern us.

8. Definitely.
that's how i think that it should play out.

it's what the country truly NEEDS.

it wouldn't hurt if one of them were to lay out once and for all to the american people EXACTLY WHAT happened in florida2000- from the scrubbing of the voter lists, to voter suppression, the 'jews for buchannan" in west palm, the make-up of the "mob", and so on...to point out the true will of the people in 2000 was really for Al Gore- and he WON that election, FAIR and SQUARE.

11. No. both because I prefer someone else, and because I believe
that the political process has an inherent value in an ostensibly democratic society, especially for an ostensibly Democratic party.

12. The whore media that hounded him and discredited him in 2000
has not changed. Gore will get exactly the same treatment in 08. He can't win.
Yes, I know that he actually did win but the press made him look like a loser and that is the perception that all but the heartiest of DUers hold of hime.
I think the same about Kerry, these two men as much as I respect their politics are damaged goods and are down-burdened by too much baggage.

15. Isn't primary season the time for deciding on the candidate?
Not backroom deals.

16. I don't think Gore would want that either.
The primaries are there for a good reason.

Lets hope Gore is in a position to debate his competitors!

Gore/Obama 08!

17. Definitely not!
Why ditch the primary process? Besides, should Gore decide to run for president again, there would be no need to do something like that.

18. what kind of a question is that
I would want Big Al to go through the process of winning the nomination and if by chance he was to come out a loser I will support the winner no matter what. Al Gore is my first choice
