Poll on Domestic Spying: Please help!
The Oneonta, NY newspaper (The Daily Star) has a poll on President Bush's domestic spying program. It is in the upper right-hand side of their site. Please vote against Bush. Thank you.

8. Thanks.
When I voted, it was about 180 for Bush, 240 against. I went back to see what the numbers were, and they didn't show. I don't know what's up with that.

I appreciate DUers helping with this. The greater the response from DUers (and others), the more space the paper's editors will give the topic. I'm sure the local rabid republican crew will send a series of LTTE; my hope is that it will open the door for me to get a guest editorial published.

4. clearly they're not very good at the internets....
I was able to vote 10 times! If they're not going to show results, and let us vote repeatedly, take advantage of the situation - sort of like being a repuke - pimp the vote!

5. That's one of the worst newspaper web pages I've ever seen
I couldn't even find the poll. I gave up looking. That page hurt my brain.

9. And this is their "new & improved"
web page. (grin) The Daily Star is the only democratic newspaper in the four-county region. Please be patient.

13. Okay, in that case, it's a fine page!
Good job, Daily Star. Keep up the good work!

(and I'm available when you want to start your next "new and improved" web site).

20. Indeed it is.

The willow-leaf blade in the middle of this picture is one of my better examples of Deepkill flint from Greene County. It's a dark green flint.

16. It won't take my vote.
Since they use the "terrorist surveillance program" wording, I wonder if they just don't want anyone to vote no.

21. People are having
a little trouble getting their votes registered. I'm beginning to wonder if we are in Ohio or even Florida? Please be patient, and if it doesn't work, try again in 5 minutes.

Thank you.
