BushCo 3.0: Saint McCain
The Republican Establishment is in the process of annointing John McCain as the heir apparent to Bush II.

Bush and McCain are united in their calls for escalation of the Iraq War, hence the continuity that will facilitate McCain’s succession.

The MSM are dutifully echoing BushCo’s false branding of escalation as a temporary “surge.” And their gushing infatuation with St. McCain is well documented.

Still not worried about McCain?

1. I actually think McCain would be a fairly easy candidate to beat NOW.
When he ran before, had BushCo left him alone, he would have most likely won LIGITEMATELY! People loved the straight talk express, and John was pulling it off beautifully. This time, he has changed stripes so many times, I've lost count! Talk about flip/flop! Hechanged positions on almost everything, and his fake alliance with the Christian Right is at best, a silly facade. Any Dem worth voting for should be able to squash him like the bug he's turned out to be.

2. The myth of McCain the Strong is alive and well. The Rethug Establishment will sell him
as the only capable manager of the War on Terror. They will play their most effective card (Fear) again.

6. Of course they will, but the Dem can counter that byquoting all his flips
from the past few years. I don''t believe in telling lies as the Pubs do, but in this case the truth will do the job!

Question why he changed his mind from stating Dobson and Bob Jones were hurting the Party in 2000, but now they're GREAT????

The majority of the American people want OUT of Iraq. They recognize Shrub screwed up by ever attacking, and they want an end to this insanity. McCaain calling for another 30,000 troops where the hell he's going to find them who knows!) isnot ending this mess, it's extending it!

Then there's all those times in the Senate when John was the rebel. THAT attitude would help him with some conservative Dems and some in the middle, but it sure isn't going to help him with the RW!

Iactually like John as a Senator, butI don't want him as my Prez!

5. McCain had NO chance
First off, he's too old, remember Reagan and Alzheimer's, his stance on Iraq, his dust up with the S&L's, his temper. These are just a few. As we get closer to 2008 there will be more.

7. I'm not buying the "too old" thing, or any of the other points for that matter.
McCain is the chosen one. We dismiss him at our own peril.
