Bush: "The FISA courts yesterday said I did have the authority (for warrantless wiretapping)"

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/custom/video/

Tribune's Sabrina Fang i-viewed Bush today.

About 4:20 into the clip-

<paraphrase>

Fang asks Bush: "You've always said you have the authority to use this plan with out the approval of the courts. But now you are changing your mind, why?"

Bush: "Well actually yesterday the FISA courts said I did have the authority, and that's important. The reason that it's important that they verified the legality of this program, because it's going to most likely to extend beyond my presidency. This is a very important tool for future presidents."

:crazy:

5. The court claims it's up to Gonzales to release it
(it is in writing already).

Gonzales has claimed that it's not up to him, IIRC.

I'm still waiting to find out who the hell it is up to.

3. Too bad the FISA court has no authority to give him that authority.
B*sh's illegal behavior is ILLEGAL,
no matter who goes along with it.

4. * = "I am an arrogant megolomaniac
and of course I read every court ruling as supporting me, cuz my sycophant advisors emphasize how everything works to bolster me. Oh yea, I forgot to add "delusional" to the initial description."

10. Good, I say. Let him keep doing it without warrants and ADMITTING it.
Only makes our case for impeachment that much easier.
