Were Bush and Pickles forced to sit in the sinner's bench today?
I believe Baptists have a form of public humiliation that involves being shamed before the entire congregation by being forced to sit in a sinner's pew with salvation looming over their heads.

I think maybe when Clinton said this he was referring to this custom. He was close to cracking up when he said it, and the audience got what he was talking about: "I must say this was a brilliantly executed and enormously both moving and entertaining moment, but we are in the House of the Lord..." The audience laughed like it was an inside joke. "But most of us are too afraid to live the lives we ought to live..." he continued. All the while Bush and Pickles sat on the sinner's bench squirming.

Come on Baptists. Back me up here. Is that what we witnessed? A chastising of sinners? A shaming? And well deserved, I might add.
