They're coming back in March for a second season of weed munching, but will the goats become permanent residents of San Pedro someday?
The Oregon company that brought a herd of 150 goats to San Pedro's Peck Park Canyon last year for a unique weed-abatement project is making a bid to set up a year-round urban goat farm in the canyon.
Los Angeles city officials have yet to get back to Nanny and Billy's Vegetative Management. But owners of the business say it would give local schoolchildren a way to learn about animals and nature while keeping the weeds in the undeveloped canyon under control.
