Remember - the 9/11 Hijacker's Took A Cruise (SunCruz) - Abramoff
Hijackers linked to local cruise
By Times staff and wire reports
© St. Petersburg Times, published September 27, 2001

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TREASURE ISLAND -- Employees on a SunCruz gambling ship that sails from John's Pass think some of the hijackers in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks were gambling on the ship the week before the attacks.

The FBI is investigating. SunCruz Casinos has turned over security videotapes and documents to FBI investigators.

Two or three men linked to the hijackings may have been customers on the SunCruz ship that is based at John's Pass, said Michael Hlavsa, chairman of the gambling cruise company.

The FBI has not confirmed the men's identities, and the cruise line is declining to identify the men being investigated. An FBI spokeswoman declined to comment.

Hlavsa said that in the days after the attack, cruise employees said they recognized some of the hijacking suspects as former customers.

Yes folks, the SAME SunCruz linked to Abramoff:

2000

Abramoff and Kidan purchase the SunCruz Casinos fleet of gambling boats. According to the 2005 Miami indictment, prosecutors say the pair faked a $23 million wire transfer to make it appear that they were making a significant contribution of their own money into the deal. Based on that transfer, lenders Foothill Capital Corp. and Citadel Equity Fund Ltd. agreed to provide $60 million in financing for the purchase.

Grassley aide beaten with bat outside her home. Abramoff connex?

>Tue Nov-08-05 01:20 AM <

FBI called in on Hill
By Bob Cusack and Jackie Kucinich

The FBI and Capitol Police are investigating the vicious attack of a top Senate staffer at her home last week amid concerns that the assault might be related to her work on the Finance Committee.

Emilia DiSanto, chief investigator for committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), arrived at her suburban Virginia home after work Wednesday about 6:30 p.m. As she was unloading belongings from her car, a 6-foot-1-inch white man dressed in black struck her repeatedly with an unidentified object believed to be a baseball bat.

...

Grassley is known for his aggressive oversight of the public and private sector. Over the past year, he has scrutinized healthcare fraud, organ-donation procedures used by hospitals, drug-safety matters and the use of nonprofit groups related to former lobbyist Jack Abramoff.( who is indicted for indian casino scam and a murder in fla over the buying of cruise ships for gambling! who has strong ties to bush and tom delay!)

In her line of work, DiSanto “doesn’t make a lot of friends,” an aide said.

Oh, and didn't William Bennett "allegedly blow several million $$$s" in Vegas? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm . . .

85. Also interesting to note
Atta and al-Shehhi were provided a place to stay in Florida by Charlie Voss.
Voss worked at Huffman Aviation. He was also an Iran-contra pilot and flew for the Northern Alliance in Afghanistan. A C-130 pilot.

"Abramoff ran Citizens for America, a conservative grass-roots group founded by drugstore magnate Lewis E. Lehrman. Abramoff was in frequent contact with Marine Lt. Col. Oliver L. North, the Reagan White House's Iran-contra mastermind, about grass-roots efforts to lobby Congress for the Nicaraguan contras, according to records in the National Security Archive."

Was Abramoff in contact with Voss in 2001? Seems someone ought to ask this question.

that I would spend my time trying to win money I would never live to spend.

I am aware some may very well have NOT known it was a suicide venture, but then, I am not thoroughly convinced all those folks were the real perpetrators.

:tinfoilhat: I think you will see this symbol much more around here real soon, or perhaps tin foilers will prove not to be quite so loopy after all. I don't discount anything without SOLID proof anymore.

45. Amanda Keller
And all of this info that Daniel Hopsicker has dug up needs to be viewed in the light of the old Atlantic Monthly article by Renata Adler Dec. 1976 regarding the Real Nixon Scandal and watergate.

It was all about intelligence agencies paying off Congressmen with monies from overseas (with Watergate it was money from the CIA and Chile coming back into the US via a Mexican bank--mentioned in All The President's Men only in a footnote early in the book).

When Congress investigated, and tried to 'follow the money', the trail was blocked. Renata Adler teaches now at Boston Univ.

Some time later a similar scandal, Koreagate, came about with similar m.o., hookers and payoffs around the hotel complex. Reminding us of G. Gordon Liddy's "Gemstone" scenarios with the same type of operations...with what goal ?

Now look into the Venice Flying Circus, Ptech, and the rest of madcowprod.com's investigative material and you end up with either MIHOP or LIHOP. Take yer pick.

60. At least some of the hijacker apparently had a very un-Islamic lifestyle
Not only did they go on gambling expeditions and some spent the last night of their life in a bar, but Atta is known to have consorted with strippers, drunk alochol, indulged in drugs at parties and, according to his girlfriend, like to eat pork chops.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=1433886

According to the official US government sanctioned conspiracy theory (i.e. the conspiracy theory we are all supposed to believe), I had thought these were fundamentalist Muslim Arab terrorists who are, we are told continually by right wing blowhards, motivated by their disgust at what they see as the sinful, decadent, and immoral ways of the Great Satan, AKA the USA and determined to bring it to its knees as only the first step in their long term goal of imposing the Muslim religion and Islamic rule worldwide.

It does seem at least worthy of comment then that the ringleader (who would be expected to provide leadership and direction to the subordinates) along with at the very least a few others among this group of alleged Muslim fanatics clearly were not at all hung up about adhering to Islamic religious precepts.

59. FWIW - Al Takfir Wal Hijra
Takfiris are violent, Salafist extremists from Egypt. Ahmed Rabei was a prominent follower. Takfiris are not bound by the usual religious constraints such as wearing a beard, drinking alcohol, or eating pork when such restrictions would interfere with waging effective jihad. To Takfiris, strict adherence to those laws precludes necessary covert action in defense of Islam. Because Takfiris "blend in," they can organize, plan, and take action necessitated by the overriding duty of Jihad with less risk of identification, interference, or interception.

the st pete times the same newspaper that said no planes came into tampa after 9/11 to pick up the bin ladens ..against what all witnesses said ..hundreds of witnesses..until last year..they finally had to report it and admit it...because of the 9/11 commission report...

i am right down the street from john pass where these sun cruise line boats were at...

people have been saying it for now over 4 years...and st pete times won't report anything else on it..

nor will they report on the fact that sept 7th 2001 jebbie signed an exec order to start martial law process..why????????????????????????????????????

i went eyeball to eyeball with bob kerry 9/11 commissioner at univ of tampa round table with only 15 questioners ..and a room full of faculty and news reporters.. last year before election and asked him why jeb wasn't called in front of commission and asked that under oath..he refused to answer me!

how was it on the day of 9/11 11 am that jeb signed a full executive order..for martial law...before NYC or the state of ny or nj or conn. or Calif, or LA or anywhere jeb had martial law prepared and ready to sign??

from a flt attend of one of the airlines involved..ny based retired now..fly

43. That's interesting... and then there is this tidbit, also...
On 9/01/01, Pakistan signed a $180,000 contract with a
prominent Republican public relations firm based in
Texas. "Gary Polland, who chairs the Harris County GOP
Party, is 37.5 percent owner of a joint-venture known
as 'Team Barakat' that is registered as lobbyist for
the Islamic Republic of Pakistan... The firm reports
to President Gen. Pervez Musharraf. Polland organized
the Texas Inaugural Breakfast in Washington, D.C.,
last Jan. 19 to honor George Bush. Texas Senators Phil
Gramm/Kay Bailey Hutchison and Majority Whip Rep. Tom
Delay attended the event, which included a media panel
consisting of John Fund (The Wall Street Journal),
Grover Norquist (Americans for Tax Reform), John Gizzi
(Human Events) and Glen Bolger (Public Opinion
Strategies)." Did the White House tell Musharraf he
needed a P/R firm for a planned US war against
Afghanistan???

12. All these "coincidences" are not coincidences.
Edited on Wed Jan-04-06 09:09 AM by in_cog_ni_to
Sun Cruz Just happens to be off the coast of Jeb BUSH'S Florida? Abramoff just happened to be connected to the repuke party as a lobbyist? Bob Ney just happens to go on the House floor to bad mouth Boulis' company (BEFORE Abramoff bought it)? Abramoff didn't have the funds to pay for the casino line and Boulis, the man he bought the Sun Cruz line from, just happens to end up dead in a MOB HIT? ATTA just happens to be on Abramoff's Sun Cruz casino a week prior to 911?

Also, let me say, IF THE DEMOCRATS INVOLVED IN THIS ARE INNOCENT THEY MUST, MUST, MUST CALL A NEWS CONFERENCE AND TELL THE WORLD WHERE THEIR MONIES CAME FROM, WHY, WHO, HOW, WHEN AND SET THE DAMN STORY STRAIGHT. They need to set this SQUARELY on the repuke party, where it belongs. They need to stop the SPIN, NOW! IF they are innocent victims in this, which I suspect they are. Abramoff tossed some money to select Dems to make it LOOK LIKE they were involved when actually they weren't.JMCPO

Then THIS? This is MUCH BIGGER than Watergate. This make Watergate look like NOTHING.

that they were living it up and gambling? Why couldn't they have been there to make some shady deal with an administration insider? Secure funding, talk about the next job, lay out plan B, etc. If someone is deadly serious about one thing, goddess knows they are likely to be deadly serious about EVERYTHING. Look into the ship's manifest... have they ever released a passenger list? Too many unanswered questions...Where are the people who worked on the ship and reported this to the FBI to begin with? Has anyone that was on board that night/those nights had an unfortunate accident lately? Just some thoughts...

23. They weren't there to gamble and more than likely didn't.
Where's the ships manifest? FBI has it. We will NEVER see that list. Where are the people who saw the hijackers? FBI told them to shut their mouths or else. IF anyone did open their mouth, they're dead. Where are the pictures from the ships cameras? IF film existed (which I doubt...broken camera?), the FBI has them and we will NEVER know who was on that ship.....UNLESS ABRAMOFF SINGS. IMCPO, I don't think Abramoff is going to live to tell this story. Is he under protective custody? Is, whoever is protecting him, a Bush operative from the CIA? Can they be trusted to protect him? I don't know. The BFEE tentacles are EVERYWHERE. We have been "taken over." LOOK at who the prosecutor is! <sigh>

Remember the Black Boxes from the 911 planes that were SUPPOSEDLY destroyed/gone/lost? That's what WE were told. The FBI had them all along. The FBI IMMEDIATELY visited the gas station across the street from the Pentagon to confiscate the film from their camera. We'll never know what was on that film or what was recorded on those black boxes.

Now, IF we have heroes involved in this, the above is mute. Do they exist anymore? Do we have any heroes in this country who know exactly what happened.....OUTSIDE the Abramoff gang, and will come forward with the truth? I just don't know anymore. I just don't know.:(

How many years does he want to spend in prison is the question. IF he lives to sing.

Why was ATTA on Abramoff's ship one week prior to 911? Unless Abramoff lives to tell us the answer, we may never know OR he may LIE about it because he knows his ass is covered by the FBI and the BFEE. We need one of those heroes to come forward..... NOW.

as in cash. Plus the crew saw at least one hijacker on a number of occassions. This wasn't just a one shot deal.

Plus Congress made Gus sell Sun Cruz because he was a foreigner and foreigners aren't allowed to own gambling boats registered in the US.

31. Right, because we ALL know an independant investigative reporter
who happens to live, work, and is very familiar with the area and background -has uncovered so much information that he has written a book on his findings, CANNOT be 'credible'. In fact, anyone who writes a book about what they discover/know is not to be believed.

33. If it's true, it'll survive the 'massive grain of salt' test.
If it doesn't, then it's not. What's the problem with that? People should read and believe without thinking? That's what the SCLM would have the public doing.

If it's true, I would think the author would want his findings to be put to the test. If he doesn't, I'd have to wonder.

55. It is alleged that real investigative reporters as a species
have been extinct for years. The last authenticated sighting made by investigative journalist spotters is reputed to be of an investigative journalist sub-species called a Woodward around the time of Watergate (and even that is in dispute as many IJ hobbyists debate whether the Woodward is actually not better classified as another sub-species altogether, i.e. a member of the species Media Intelligence Asset).

Therefore since it is commonly accepted that there are no such things as investigative journalists any more, when someone appears on the scene claiming to be an investigative journalist it is safe to assume he must be a liar, conspiracy theorist or money grubbing publicity hound and ignore his research without even attempting to verify whether his claims make sense or there is any evidence to back them up.

50. Ever hear of a 'Dutch Sandwich' ?
Maybe the Dekkers links to money, intelligence, and 9-11 utilized this money-laundering technique

""Dutch Sandwich: A tax structure using companies from two Dutch Jurisdictions to reduce the U.S. tax obligation on royalty and patent income flowing from the United States.""

http://www.unodc.org/unodc/money_laundering_glossary.html#D

Just a thought. BTW, be sure to read the old Watergate era article by Boston Univs' Renata Adler in the December 1976 Atlantic re 'the real Nixon scandal'. By following the money, which never happened even during Watergate with Woodward/Bernstein, you end up with foreign campaign money along with an unlimited outside-of-Congress black ops intelligence funding source using guns and drugs.

It all falls apart when it comes into the US domestically. And they know it.

Then call up a talk show and engage the host about the topic, and at the end of the conversation ask just one more question, " Why are were there no 757 parts at the Pentagon?" and watch them scramble. If enough of us do this we might get some regular news interested. but I doubt it 911 is old news.

Questions for Bob Ney
snip:

http://dailydelay.blogspot.com/2005/05/questions-for-bob-ney.html

11. Gus Boulis was killed in a gangland-style slaying on Feb. 6, 2001, after his deal to sell SunCruz to Abramoff and Kidan went sour. Adam Kidan reportedly arranged for $145,000 in payments starting less than two months before the slaying to mob-linked Anthony Moscatiello and his daughter, for which no work was apparently performed, according to The Washington Post. When did you first become aware that Kidan was a longtime acquaintance of Moscatiello, who had previously been indicted in New York in a case involving organized crime and members of the Gambino family?

12. Was Anthony Moscatiello present at the fundraiser that the casino boat executives held for you on March 15, 2001 in lobbyist Jack Abramoff’s skybox at the MCI Center, where Abramoff and Adam Kidan each contributed $1,000 to you? Did you know, at the time of this event, that Boulis had been murdered five weeks before your fundraiser?

Does this make sense, I ask you. Remember, this was supposed to be about punishing the
west for immorality and our involvement in the Middle East and the crusades.

And one of our favorite ways to waste an afternoon was to go up to John's Pass, sit outside on the dock with a frozen cocktail, watch the drawbridge go up and down as the sailboats passed under and the pelicans steal fish from the guys fishing on the bank.

82. The BIG FIX 2006:
Is Abramoff getting away with murder?
Jan 4 2006--Venice,FL.
by Daniel Hopsicker
---

Tom DeLay's on trial, Randy Cunningham's going to jail, the Republican Party is mired in corruption and cronyism, Sun Cruz Casino “Mob Boy” Adam Kidan's already cut a deal, and Jack Abramoff’s plea agreement with federal prosecutors is expected to result in the biggest Congressional housecleaning in decades…

Yet, appearances to the contrary, “The Big Fix 2006” may already be in on the Republican big money scandals.

----

Despite the drumbeat of new revelations (like the Desperate Housewives of Congressional Republicans pulling down six-figure incomes for duties which are the very definition of ‘vague’), in the silent newsnights before Christmas it began to become apparent that once again something was going horribly, terribly, wrong…

The sight of neo-con greedheads and faux Christian leaders littering the landscape like recently-sodomized sugar plum fairies (paging Ralph Reed, white courtesy phone) may everywhere be warming the hearts of men and women of good will.

----

“Casino Jack” Abramoff and minion Adam Kidan just may be about to get away with murder.

91. Casino Jack and Mo Mo Atta??
Say what U know MoMo!!!

http://www.cannabisculture.com/forums/showflat.php?Number=1175455

"Newspapers called Boulis’s killing a “gangland-style murder.”

But there is another word which more accurately describes it: “Assassination,” says Webster’s dictionary, is “murder which changes the world.”

What does a scandal involving Indian casinos, gambling boat “cruises to nowhere” & pay-for-play government officials have to do with the story of 19 hijackers planning a mass murder in supposed isolation in Florida?

Over three years ago—within a month of the 9.11 attack—British Prime Minister Tony Blair had presented the case against Bin Laden. He sketched out the Cliff Notes version of the evidence. It wasn’t much, but it was the only explanation we ever received.

“Al Qaeda is a terrorist organization with ties to a global network,” Blair said.

When NBC's Dateline did a story recently about sources of terrorist funding right here in the U.S., they announced “the emerging threat of a new alliance between al Qaeda and common criminals.”

It was hardly time to stop the presses.

“Some of the same names in the Abramoff scandal also surface in connection with Mohamed Atta’s,” we reported, in a June 21, 2005 story headlined “THE SECRET WORLD OF 9.11.”

“There remains a strong suspicion that Atta’s terrorist cadre—supposedly unknown and friendless and burrowing into the woodwork—was able to call on the assistance, when necessary, of a friendly global network.

Could it be that this network is the same one being probed so gingerly today by investigators looking into Jack Abramoff?

Far from being a rogue lobbyist who went just a few tens of millions of dollars too far, Jack Abramoff is an operative for an organization which has sold Americans a bill of goods as justification in at least three recent wars.

There are an amazing number of people described as ‘financial whizzes’ and ‘boy wonders of business’ involved in the story of Jack Abramoff.

But... are they really? "

93. Putting on my detective hat,
the bombshell in this would be that there was a covert reason for Atta and company to be on that specific cruiser.

Problems with jumping that far into the fire:

1. They also showed up in Las Vegas. That already partially debunks a SOLE visit for a purpose other than gambling or just the unique turn on it may have been for them.

2. They were living in Florida. They didn't travel there from somewhere as if for a planned meeting.

Without unimpeachable testimony from someone who has explosive information, they were just living an experience they normally wouldn't have had and it was right there. They went once, liked it, went again. And then they also wanted to see what Vegas was about.

Without Vegas, it has a exponentially greater sinister overtone. Now, if someone has a link where this carries to Vegas too, that's beyond my pay grade.
