Anti choice people make me sick
Edited on Thu Feb-23-06 08:02 PM by JustDoIt
I'm sorry but they just do.

I can't stand these freaks who I see protesting outside abortion clinics, trying to paint rape victims as murderers for not wanting to carry the rapists' seeds to term. These freaks are seriously deluded and need attitude readjustments. Why are they so obsessed with fetuses anyway? Why don't they get lives?

I had an encounter with them today and these people are just so irrational. I wanted to take their rosaries and shove them right up their asses. Sorry.

It also makes me mad that most of these people are also vehemently against gay adoption and gay marriage.

1. Anti-abortion implies some people are PRO-abortion...that's wrong.
These people are anti-choice. Sorry, language matters.

23. I'm PRO-ABORTION in many cases, and I'm not ashamed to say so
...a 13-year-old girl who's been impregnated by her own father? Yes. She SHOULD have an abortion. It's a GOOD thing if she does.

A woman who's been raped and is trying to heal and move on with her life and has this unwanted THING stuck inside her to remind her of the rape every minute of every day, and eventually come out of her in yet more blood and pain? Yes. If she wants to, she SHOULD have an abortion, and that would be GOOD.

A woman who has health problems that put her life seriously at risk if she has a baby, and decides she wants to put herself first over a theoretical possibility? You GO, sister. It's GOOD to save yourself.

Need I go on? There are lots of cases in which abortion is GOOD. Many women feel their abortions were tragic and have regrets. And many women don't feel that way at all. Neither should have to apologize or downplay their feelings.

24. Great post
I am tired of some of the wavering that some on here do.

3. I know.
Across the street from where I live is Planned Parenthood and every Saturday morning, these pro-fetus fanatics are standing on the sidewalk holding pictures of aborted fetuses. They also oppose birth control which would reduce abortions in the first place. I want to get a 4RU486 t-shirt and wear that in front of them.

14. They also oppose taking photographs of the coffins of the soldiers
because that is exploiting the dead for a political agenda.

They hypocrisy knows no bounds.

5. I am basically pro life, pro choice.
I personally have a problem with abortion, but I don't think I have the right to make that choice for another woman, her doctor and her husband. And I know many many republicans who feel the same way. I don't understand why it has to be black and white and I think many in this country feel the same way.

I have no problem with gay marriage or adoption.

to Planned Parenthood and NARAL. I'm not sure what they do with it exactly and I don't really care. I only do it so that I can rub it in the faces of Republicans.

It actually gives me a giddy feeling inside knowing that abortions go on every day and there is nothing that Republicans can do about it.

7. Seriously?
I'm vehemently pro-choice yet even the word abortion turns my stomach.

What I'm giddy about is that every day people have sex and there's nothing that Republicans can do about it!

And yes, seriously. It's not the abortion procedure going on that makes me happy. It's knowing that something that Republicans detest so much is occurring. It's the same thing with the gay marriages in Massachusetts

12. I definitely agree; I'm pro-choice,
but I'm all for making abortions safe, legal and RARE!! That's really sickening that someone could get "giddy" over it, and that's the first time I've ever heard anyone, even the staunchest pro-choice person, say that.

Now, the fact that people are having sex every day and there's nothing the repubs can do about it-THAT thought I can enjoy!

20. Wow
all of you really misunderstood my post.

I'm not giddy about the abortion procedure itself. I'm giddy that Republicans can really do nothing about it, just like with gay marriage in Massachusetts.

Sheesh. How sick do you think I am?

9. Every @$#% person who claims to be "pro-life"
while harrasing women about controlling their own lives should be stapled to the nearest brick wall and left there hanging for a couple of years.

They piss me off just a little bit.

10. Me too, expecially because so many of them are
anti-birth control, and they don't want to help women -- especially poor women -- who have children but have a hard time taking care of them.

I truly believe that many of these people hate women, and that they think that the baby is punishment for a woman who opens her legs, whether willingly or not. :grr:

Edited on Thu Feb-23-06 08:58 PM by TennesseeRain
an abortion before that right is taken away. I intentionally get myself knocked up just so I can exercise that right. Hey, it's still legal you know. :)

And as for gay adoption and gay marriage, these people who are against it need to go watch Brokeback Mountain until they change their damned minds. That is all.

Now you'll have to excuse me, there is a tree that needs hugging.
