India: Welcome Wagon Not Likely for Bush
February 22, 2006 21 44

Summary

Dysentery will not be U.S. President George W. Bush's only worry when he makes his first trip to India on March 1. Complications in the U.S.-Indian civilian nuclear deal, leftist protests and anti-U.S. rallies stemming from the cartoon drawings of the Prophet Mohammed are just a few of the road bumps Bush is likely to encounter.

Analysis

U.S. President George W. Bush's March 1-3 trip to India is unlikely to go as smoothly as planned. The focus of the trip will be the U.S.-Indian civilian nuclear deal, and the prospects of this deal being signed during Bush's visit are looking increasingly dim.

Back when our country had an intelligent, well-spoken, charismatic, HUMANE AND RESPECTED president?

2. This will be as interesting as when he went to Germany.
They had to close whole towns down and remove the people.

Never has one man been so unwelcome in so many places in the world.

8. What's India's problem? They got tons of computer jobs from
us and it seems half the computer jobs here in the USA is being worked by an Inidan. No room for American computer programmers anymore.

9. It doesn't matter.
He'll never see the protestors anyway. The Shrub has been so well insulated for the last 5 years, I sometimes wonder if he even knows how unpopular he is. Since all he ever sees are hand-picked, glassy-eyed Bushbot audiences and everyone else is relegated to "free speech zones" (boy, that's some real 1984-speak there), he probably still thinks he's king of the world.

18. Good grief he plans to go to cricket
"I'm a cricket match person. I appreciate it. As I understand it, I may have a little chance to learn something about cricket. It's a great pastime."
