"Laura Bush Killed a Guy"
Those words were spoken out-loud on CBS last night..on David Letterman's show.. There were some other zingers, and it WAS part of the Top Ten. But WHEN have you EVER heard those words uttered on national television..

There's blood in the water, folks :)

2. Among Bush's supporters this will help
"Wow, she's really tough. She even killed a guy."

My favorite mention of Laura Bush on enterainment TV was on Weeds (on Showtime). A guy is repeating all the standard Bush nonsense about Iraq, etc. Someone else asks him why he likes Bush so much. He answerd that he bought some good weed from Laura back at SMU.

3. i made a post a few weeks back about Laura Bush being off limits
when it came to comedians. and i included those who are liberal leaning such as Letterman and Stewart. especially with their free for all when it comes to Dem women like Teresa or Hillary.

you are right, this is probably the first time. do you have a copy of the top 10 list. do you remember what the audience reaction was ?

I wonder how many people in the audience knew it was a fact.

Yes, the Chimpress earned admission into the BFEE the old-fashioned way. Of course, she still doesn't compare with the Dowager Chimpress or Herbert Walker Chimp.

10. The ugly truth is -
Laura Bush killed someone when she was 23 (I think). It seems that this was her boyfriend. They had an argument, broke up (?).

Later that day, she rammed her car into the poor guy. He flew maybe 20 feet (?), hit a telephone pole and was killed instantly. Laura claimed it was an accident. She was never charged with anything (!) not even manslaughter.

I don't know of too many First Ladies who can claim that they killed somebody.

Well, that's the Wild West for you.

She was 17, and it was an accident.

It's sad, and it probably sucked for her.

Stephanie

On edit: nobody is going to look this up, so here's a link for you:

20. Yeah Right. Seems somewhat biased
and leaning in favor of Laura. I don't buy their conclusion that to ram his car she would have to be thinking of murder by suicide. Lot of wives have run over both husbands and mistresses with their cars. And it didn't have to be preplanned. It could have been an impulse. She has admitted dating the victim but whatever. I am not sad for her. They don't give Dem women 5 seconds worth of sympathy. When do they defend Joan Kennedy's drinking or Jackie's extravagences? Sorry. Laura doesn't get a break from me!

17. Try 17. There's an article at Snopes about this.
Edited on Fri Feb-24-06 04:46 PM by tasteblind
And it hasn't been completely determined that there was a relationship, but she was friends with him.

She ran a stop sign and he was there in his car. It was random.

Get it straight.

22. It sure is ugly but it ain't the truth even on the basics....
She was 17. He was in a car. It hasn't been established what the relationship was.

Also, manslaughter charges for car accidents aren't very common even when one driver is at fault.

12. It's no secret that Letterman & the Bush Admin have a serious...
...feud going on, starting with Bush's appearance on LS w/ DL before the 2k election, and then the "controversy" over the "yawning boy" video.

This might lead to something retaliatory from the WH...

18. Oh my! You have got to be shittin' me!
Letterman actually said that???

LOL! Oh happy day! That would NEVER make the airwaves unless they have take-down plans. Me thinks the corporate media whores are a tad miffed with the BFEE for them not telling them about Cheney's attempted murder, uh, er...accidental shooting of his hunting partner.:7
