why do we never hear about the Saddam 'trial' from the MSM anymore?
it's been going on for awhile; what's the deal?
what has he said in his testimony?
and honestly; how hard is it to convict someone like him of something, anything that a trial would take this long? (provided of course, that there is some evidence to convict)

When will a verdict be coming? or is it just a show trial, and everybody involved is hoping the general public will forget or cease to care after enough time has passed?

3. Iraq was mostly peaceful under Saddam, wouldn't want to draw attention
to how bad things are under our occupation after ousting him, would we?

14. Yes. It doesn't help when the judge quits.
And all the lawyers are getting offed. It is turning into quite the circus.

7. The Prosecution is still going
I don't know if he will testify in his own defense or not. I get the idea that time is still far away. They seem to sit for a few days and then take a few weeks off.

When was the last time any Iraqi talked about trying him?

It's our issue, not theirs.

13. If Iraq fractures into 3 states
the Sunnis would probably be happy to have him back as president. Wouldn't that be ironic?

17. The Iraqis simply show no will or intensity to try Saddam
Like I said, it seems to be our issue, not theirs.

18. The only time I hear about it
Is when he storms out of the courtroom or makes some other aggressive gesture. Other than that, it's like nothing is going on. Not even in the buried pages of the newspaper.
