5. For a while there, I thought the judge was going to let him off way easy
This is good. 100 months - he deserves more, but this is good. Then supervised release. How humiliating.

8. What does this actually mean, in real time?
Is he gonna have to serve several years, or, because he wept, is he out on the streets in 9 months?

31. If this is a federal charge (which I would assume)
I don't think there's any good time and no parole, not like in state court. The feds have different sentencing guidelines.

10. Cool - he's spending 8 years in prison!
Although sadly with his high-priced lawyers he may get that boiled down to just house arrest. :eyes:

13. 8 1/2 years. Hmmm, wonder if he'll ever leave alive?
He's pretty old, isn't he? Prison life isn't easy, especially for an old guy.

Of course he deserves every minute of that sentence, but I wonder if he ever thought a day like this would ever happen to him? Bet not!

29. Well there is "prison life" and then there is
prison life. Wait and see where he goes. He isn't going to be on a rock pile somewhere swinging a sledge but will more likely be in "Club Fed".

15. I hope all of his property is siezed too.
A lot of poor folks could use it, like Louisiana fishermen who need new fishing boats.

33. And the "Cell phone Bandit" gets 12 years
20 years old, 4 bank robberies, $48,000. Her boyfriend, the getaway car driver, also got 12 years. At least they're not ordered to pay restitution like Duke.
