Anyone with an opinion to share on Bill Press?

I heard him on the radio this morning and was puzzled by his comments on a particularly touchy subject.
He mentioned that Charlie Sheen, the actor, had recently been interviewed and was advocating a MIHOP/LIHOP position.
Now I know that this is a touchy subject that has caused much consternation here at DU but I was surprised that Press completely dismissed Sheen as a conspiracy wackjob without even considering any of the points that Sheen had to offer.
He went so far as to compare MIHOP/LIHOP theorists with people that deny the holocaust.
Questions: Are there any LIHOP/MIHOP thinkers on the right?
Are people on the left as well as the right equally at
risk of drinking the Kool-aid, so to speak?
Who really funds these talk show hosts, right or left?

1. Like Bill Press don't always agree with him.

Lots of people refuse to consider *IHOP. For example DU: this entire thread is in danger of being sent to the *IHOP memory hole.

Bill's progressive credentials are pretty impressive and I agree with him probably 80% of the time. Why get upset if the few progressive voices in the media are not marching in lockstep with whatever orthodoxy you subscribe to? Critical analysis, tolerance for diversity, and the cacaphony of open honest debate are esssential features of a progressive society.

I liked him when he was on CNN: Crossfire, with Tucker in
the Spin Room

3. Think Bill Press wrote a book about

how the Republicans stole Christmas - saw him in an interview and his explanation of the book was outstanding.

It will be intersting to see if the MSM talks about this story - I mean we get every detail of Charlie Sheen's personal life, what he's doing, speculation on his relationships, but watch, something like this and they won't touch it. I understand Drudge had the article up but then pulled it - no surprise there.
