Immigration and Jobs seem to have people on both sides of the fence pissed at him.

1. "I want the rich to get richer, because it means more for me."
Well, at least the greedy bastards are honest about it.

8. From what I've seen "trickle down economics" never trickles very far
The rich having more money doesn't put more money in the pockets of the middle, lower and poor working class. It just means they have more money to blow on an extra house built foolishly (and repeatedly) on an island off Florida (that gets blown away with every other hurricane), a $500k old painting, a $30k old bakelite scarecrow pin, not to mention a few hundred thousand to buy a few senators/congress critter's, vice presidents influence, etc.

11. Shows just how damn dumb they are. Where did the rich get their money?
They are taking it from people just like that caller who thinks somehow they are going to take the money just from Liberals and give it to him.....I sometimes wonder how these people ever got so far in life...

2. keep posting the comments/calls
very interesting to hear the range of opinions, esp since there is a group that goes to the GOPUSA (I think, or maybe it is the RNC) website for current talking points for call-ins - which means that some of the calls should be fairly scripted... if these calls are few in number, then it suggests that the regular organized callers are just not bothering after bush's speech - and that alone would be notable.

3. "Humdinger of a speech!... But if he'd just get the gasprices down."
Sounds as if Bush is slowly loosing his real base.

6. Most of these shitheads can't realize anything that Faux or Limbaugh
don't tell them to realize.

7. Um.. They are Bush voters.. I'd be really surprised if they can operate
velcro.. So, I would think figuring out what industry their "leaders" come from would be a bit of a stretch for them. All sarcastic remarks aside.. My Dad who is literally a multi-millionaire (John Deere Tractor Dealerships) told me before the first election that it was "good" that their background is in oil, because they would keep the prices low, if they were elected.. I actually laughed at him.. Looks like Father doesn't always know best after all.

9. I heard a lot of truck drivers say the same thing. They actually
believed voting for an oil man would mean cheap fuel. I remind them every chance I get. You'd think they have to be feeling pretty stupid now, but they're too damn dumb to see the forest because of all the trees blocking their view.

10. Makes no sense...
the oil men want big profits - they don't profit as much from low prices; the adv (to the co.s) of oilmen in the wh has to do with less and less interference (eg regulation) and breaks - that just serves to fatten up their profits... that folks had any sense that this would be turned around to help consumers - is a profound over trust in corp. entities and a profound lack of logical thinking.

12. My wife says she met a man and wife with 4 jobs a couple of days ago...
The man had three jobs and the wife had one. My wife works at a community health center and they came in for medical care. My wife takes care of the children that come in.

15. What a bogus poll (Military Times)
There sampling was 10% of their SUBSCRIBERS.

Gee. No wonder they could get 52% supporting Bush's Iraq War policies.

Caller: The reason the numbers are so low is because of the "Liberal Mainstream Media!"
