Edited on Sun Mar-26-06 11:21 PM by Bozita
The immigration demonstrators must not be nearly the threat to 'Murica that those anti-war devils represent. I watched the newschannels and network news (when available) throughout the weekend.

Maybe I wasn't paying adequate attention, but I just didn't see those truncheon-carrying cops in their Star Wars costumes. In LA, the AP reported crowds in excess of 500,000 but the cops were dressed in regular uniforms

Yet, photos from anti-war protests in Chicago last week showed the shoulder-to-shoulder, battle-ready cops almost outnumbering the protestors.

Anyone else notice this?

1. They need to be nice to the immigrants
In order to recruit them for the war. "Give us your first born for your green card."

They know they don't have a chance in hell to recruit anybody from an antiwar protest.

2. Well ya know them anti-war wussy cowards will beat the crap out of
innocent Americans, them all being terra-ists, according to the rightwingnuttery who take contradiction to amazing levels.

3. The cops in Boston weren't either
They were same as the LA cops, regular uniforms and bicycles. Must have been something more specific to Chicago.

4. They are pretty reasonable in DC, too, regardless of what gear they
wear. They don't go for the heavy-handed nonsense, it just doesn't make for a good situation all around.

5. Disgusting
But that's probably because BushCo supports anything illegal, whether it's illegal wars (for making money from the war machine) or illegal immigrants (for screwing Americans out of jobs by hiring illegals at sub-standard rates).
