Another Prominent Military Figure Denounces NeoCons, Iraq, War on Terror
Sorry if this is a dupe:

Another Prominent Military Figure Denounces NeoCons, Iraq, War on Terror. Delta Force founder joins ranks who say there is no real threat to the US and war is based on lies
Steve Watson / Infowars | March 27 2006

Retired Command Sergeant Major Eric Haney, founding member of the military's elite covert counter-terrorist unit, Delta force, has stated publicly for the record that he sees the war in Iraq as an "Utter debacle" based on intentions by the Bush administration that were "not what they stated" and that "there is no real threat to the U.S. in the world".

Haney made the comments in an exclusive interview with David Kronke for the LA Daily News published yesterday.
"...We have fomented civil war in Iraq. We have probably fomented internecine war in the Muslim world between the Shias and the Sunnis, and I think Bush may well have started the third world war, all for their own personal policies."

1. When the non-retired military figures get the picture...then things change
I remember the NSA's Gen Odum has said similar things too, but he's retired also if memory serves me correctly. The on-duty warriors must obey their 'commander-in-chief' or face court martial and worse.

7. Screw the officers - I am talking about the kids here -
I could justify the officers here- but I am not - I really could -

I think American kids are worth something, a lot.

They can think.

Someting is coming down here - I trust those kids, our kids - they know.

The day the army has to use propaganada to justify their position is the day we know better,

I know those kids do too,

cause they are our kids,

I hope this summer is not too bloody - I really do -

Joe

8. Read 'War is a racket' by USMC 2x CMOH winner Smedley D. Butler
It comes from the top down in the military.

2. My nephew is in th eDelta Force.
He was a kid who didn't have what it takes to compete for any job that pays more than $8.00 an hour. He's a professional killer now, not a skill that is going to help him support himself if he ever leaves the Army, that is if he survives Bush's military adventurism.

4. Patrice -
Give the kid a break -

Go to those grad classes and look in the eyes - they REALLY are good kids.

About every hundred years or so we have a real fight - as a society.

I TUST AMERICAN kids - they do the right thing, as they see it.

WHat happens when they are ordered to do something they felt wrong - what then??

I know of NO society that can question the imperitave - except our kids.

I think very little of the army, with good reason, I think.

But I do think highly of the kids that were entrusted to protect us - and they know that is the reason they took up a sword -

That thought keeps me going, some days.

End of the day - I trust the American kids, I really do.

5. You're assuming I am judging him.
Edited on Mon Mar-27-06 07:53 PM by patrice
My statements were meant as a statement of fact, not a judgement.

Though, I will judge those who are on the TV selling the Army as an opportunity for all of those kids out there who are troubled, and troubling their families, to get straightened out, so their Dads can approve of them now. Perhaps you've seen the commercial I'm referring to here.

6. You judged the kid - It is ok -
Patrice,

Grant this - those smart enough to do that now will be very good at doing it in the future = do you get it???

I am just an accountant - But I understatnd the pressures brought to bear on the kids - If I was my parents I could properly call "Bullshit"

But I am not -

Patrice, I call BULLSHIT for them - I know they know. We are supposed to.

Joe

9. I did not. And you are pretty presumptious to say I did.
You don't know anything about me and my nephew beyond the few words I've written here and you claim to know my mind on the subject.

Perhaps the judgement you are hearing is coming from you.

It is a plane statement of fact: he's in the Delta Force; he's a professional killer.

I AM judging a society that had nothing (not an education, not a job) to offer that moon-eyed kid who used to croon quiet songs to himself.

10. Delta Force is a lot more than that
They train every day of their lives. They train on virtually all subjects. Astronomy, Biology, Geology, Medicine, Warfare, Map reading, Survival, self defense, climbing, skydiving, etc., etc. It never stops. These people believe strongly in education, for education is survival. It totally amazes me how any of them could respect Bush* on any level..

3. They sell the the war like it was a vacum cleaner -
This fight gets won kid by kid - one at a time.

It is just a fact -

You are right, you know - explain it to a 19 year old kid indoctrinatated by a machine - Good Luck.

We WILL win in the end - Anticipate the army screwing with this - it is going to happen - is happening. On the other hand, if they were any good at it - we wouldn't be here now, would we -

You be the judge - you see??

I really think the fight does get won kid by kid - but they are OUR kids - so wait a little.

Joe
