Cornyn: "That's the problem in America, we're always having elections."
Damn those elections...always getting in the way. :sarcasm:

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0603/29/ltm.01.html

BASH: But like anything in politics, there are shades of gray. Senator John Cornyn is a Texas Republican searching for a middle ground. He says illegal immigrants should be able to work in the U.S. legally, but only if they return to their country of origin first.

(on camera): How worried are you about the deep divide within your own party over this issue?

SEN. JOHN CORNYN (R), TEXAS: I really am not worried about it. I think it's actually healthy.

BASH: You think it's healthy? In an election year it's healthy?

CORNYN: Well, you know, that's the problem in America, we're always having elections.

1. That's One Of The Most Stupid Things I've Ever Heard Any Senator Say.
Well, other than "I'm telling you, I watched the video tape and she's alive, alert and following the bawoooooonnnnn!"

4. Senator John Cornyn is an empty, clueless asshat, and sadly,
he's my asshat. :puke: He turns my stomach and is the reason I can't usually get on the bandwagon as far as 'calling my senators'. The other one would be KBH, who's just as bad.

6. I thought I had seen the last of that bastard when I moved to CA
now I see and hear his sanctimonious self more than I ever did in Texas.

But my Senators are a hell of a lot better.

And my Rep is Pelosi.

8. Cornyn's election was one too many.
He also justified the assassination of judges who make "unpopular decisions."

9. I gotta say, lately, the Republicans are being refreshingly honest about
about what they really think. First, some stooge Republican bureaucrat in Connecticut publicly admits that he believes only The Chosen Few (the master race?) deserve an education and society's attention ("Why are we putting all this money into special education when these students will be the least productive members of society?"). And now Sen.Cornyn tells us openly how he really feels about American democracy.

Have these guys been injected with truth serum?
