Raiders Cancel Offseason Workouts, Players' Union Complains Of Practice Violation

Alameda, CA (AHN) - First-year Oakland Raiders head coach Lance Kiffin canceled the final week of offseason team activities due to the complaints from the NFL players' union about the intense physical style of the practices.

"The union has complained about the high level of intensity, player aggressiveness and fast pace of our practices and, as a result, has taken away the final week of our offseason program," said Kiffin in a statement.

The players' union believes that Kiffin violated the standard practices of the program. As a result, the Raiders will not hold offseason workouts next week.

The Raiders begin training camp July 27.
