HUNTLEY(WREX) - With the economy in such bad shape its no surprise jobs are a hot commodity.

Hundreds apply for 350 jobs at Walmart

Since February 2nd the new Walmart Super Center opening in Huntley has already gotten 1,500 job applications. About 100 of those applicants have gone to Walmarts Hiring Center it set up near the new store.

1. 3,000 people for 350 jobs...somethink along those lines happened at eBay a few years ago
This was when no one was using the word "recession," and Bush was thumping his chest and saying that the economy was "strong and gettin' stronger," and eBay had an open house for something like 350 jobs and 3000 people showed up.

Conventional wisdom these days is that if one has a job, and one doesn't like it, one should be happy for their job and STFU, which is exactly what the goal of the Bush administration was for eight years...go to work and STFU.
