Connecticut’s Attorney General Richard Blumenthal has called on AT&T to not follow through with plans to lay off 2,500 workers nationwide. In a statement Blumenthal said the company has been arrogant as it lays off workers while service deteriorates and the company disregards a “Department of Public Utility Control ruling that it has failed to meet service standards. Seventy-five of the job cuts are expected in Connecticut.

2. AG Blumenthal is a good guy. He stood up to a corrupt insurance commissioner
in the state for failure to take punitive action against a corrupt health insurance company.
