Pro-Union Flight Attendant Fired By Jet Blue After Being Accosted By Customer

The drunken airlines passenger spat on and physically threatened off-duty JetBlue flight attendant Mala Armasingh. But when Armasingh used a curse word in response, she was fired. The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA says she was fired because she’s a union supporter. Armasingh says says she’s a proud and vocal supporter of the union and JetBlue is just using this incident as a cover for its union-busting to fire her.
