1. progressives marching, meeting, organizing: not news.
Off to the memory hole. We don't exist.

5. I don't 'let them', they control the conversation.
500 rightwing morons get national media coverage, 15,000 leftists get zilch. I can't make the corporate media be even remotely objective. On the other hand I refuse to pretend that the message discipline practiced by the national media does not control how the vast majority of the people in this country view reality. We do not exist.

6. My point would be that they want you to not exist,
and have to spend much money and time to try and do that, but because they have to use those methods, that can, in part, prove you do exist.

But I understand your concept that their are manipulations of information, and many people listen to that.

10. They've succeeded beyond their wildest dreams.
Until we start admitting that, we are not going to change anything.

7. Turn "them" off. Drop your cable subscription.
Watch and read what you want on the internet and in borrowed library books.

Don't play "their" game. We turned "them" off, and our lives have improved immensely.

The advertising industry is not your friend, and that is all that "they" are about -- advertising -- trying to sell you something.

Cutting "them" off is less painful than you think.

9. Sheesh.
This isn't about me. I don't watch any corporate news broadcasts and haven't for a very long time. You and me and the rest of the left, we aren't reaching people. We've failed. The internet isn't doing it either. I don't know what will, but I'm pretty sure that what we've been doing for the last 30 years or so is not working at all.
