Public Workers Attacked As A Privileged Class - AFSCME Fights Back To "Stop The Lies"

AFSCME President Gerald McEntee says false and absurd statements attacking public workers as a privileged class are being incessantly repeated by right-wing media. That attack campaign – even falsely blaming public employees for the economic crisis – is being echoed by right-wing talk radio and conservative Republican politicians. AFSCME is defending public employees and their families from this assault with a “Stop The Lies” campaign. McEntee says by blaming public workers the right wing is trying to divert attention way from the real privileged class on Wall Street and their reckless behavior that enriched them while plunging the rest of us into a financial crisis.
