Check in! Como estamos, mi gente?
I'm trying to get up the juice to make some black bean tamales and do some reading for my writing project on the events of 1932 in El Salvador. It's a beautiful sunny day here after a downpour yesterday and the work isn't happening. lol

Y Uds. ?

:hi:

driving out to redlands to visit my folks. had a great saturday, went to ucla to see king lear in a much bruited about production that vindicated its hoopla. but $3000 a ticket? don't know the performance was that great.

it's gloomy overcast today, i'm gonna fix some chiles rellenos with gluten-free flour. it's a good day to let yourself be sidetracked by your guiro...

3. Ay! I would have recited KL for just a couple of warm rellenos!
lol

Did they twin the Fool and Cordelia?

Btw, I'm looking for a publisher for a book idea having to do with 1932 in El Salvador. Do you have any recommendations?

I saw a wonderful BookTv segment on Chicago's Third World Press on the occasion of their 40th anniversary. Magnificent. Looking for a cognate. :)

4. lastima, estoy embarazado
embarrassing that i don't know which cognate to offer

Magnificent. Looking for a cognate.

lear was fine as aged wine. the fool and cordelia were kept in perspective. who twinned 'em, what's the point?

the rellenos were superb, as were the glutenfree porkchops in brown mushroom gravy.

publishers for nonfiction, south american themes, some university press is your answer. university of arizona has a big international law program in the law school. maybe there's a lead in their press. i need a publisher of creative nonfiction biography with a women's / politics theme.

5. In the script, the Fool and Cordelia aren't in any scenes together.
In fact, it's probable that the same boy played both parts. Some people read echos of Lear's conversations with Cordelia in his remarks to the Fool and vice versa so, some productions go with that and have the same actor play both and so "twin" them.

I'm going to dig around for publishers this evening. If I find anything that might interest you, I'll PM you. :)
