1. Exactly. The inference he makes about O. is more valid about himself...
How well DO we KNOW McCain?

Not well enough. B/c most of what we thought we knew is a myth. And what we DO know from what we see first-hand of him is alarming.

2. PS You know...
Edited on Thu Aug-21-08 01:57 AM by Waiting For Everyman
just as it was with Bush, these McCain-ites are going to vote for him... even though they know better, they'll vote their "attitudes" instead of their better judgement. And then they, or their kids, will be drafted and their lives will be taken involuntarily and ruined or ended. And then they'll be all upset and acting aggrieved about it. And I won't feel sorry for them. Because the time to do something about it is now. And they won't. They think they can vote any way they want, and everything will turn out fine.

I won't be sorry for them when their tears are falling. Because they didn't care about the harm that's already been done to others, which would've warned them if they had given a damn.

This election should not be close. And neither should the others before it. All the dead and all the homeless wouldn't have happened. But those who are still untouched think they have the luxury of giving power to a maniac like this. Or like Bush.

It'll be them next. And then they can look right in the mirror and blame themselves for their dead kids.

3. People confuse experience with age. My telephone pole has been there longer than McCain

4. Just being present isn't experience, a history of bad decisions isn't experience

8. Eh
The points the ad makes are all good and sound. The ad itself though has shitty production values - it's too slow, the titles look like they were made 10 years ago... And the points the ad makes are clunky in their wording and fairly stale by now. At least it means well.

10. The MSM had better air the draft clip and beat McCain over the head with it for a while.
If Obama would have said he wants to reinstate the draft, MSM would be all over it. News cycle after news cycle would slam him for it. McCain? Not so much.

How ridiculous does this have to get before people wake up? Obama says he'd refine his plans for Iraq, depending on his generals' advice, and MSM squawks about nothing but that for days on end.

McCain says he will reinstate the draft. Newsworthy?

11. Experience is a curious word
One of my mentors, recently deceased, often said "There is a big difference between ten years of experience and one year of experience repeated ten times."
McCain's experience is a continuous loop of the same garbage. At least Obama has spent time with REAL Americans, those who have been hurt by the policies of this and past Republican administrations. It is a fair bet that the people Obama has worked for wouldn't think you need $5m/year in income to be "rich".
