people have a tendancy to first simply assume that they are ignorant. But they are in fact very educated people (most of them are lawyers), who have extremely evil views. I would suggest you watch this documentary, it's very very interesting and provides alot of insight into who they are:

but did I hear right--they don't like McCain either? Then why no anti-McCain signs? The one woman said that the nation was doomed and whoever ran for President was abased--so what does the Phelps clan propose to change the situation? To their mindset it seems that there is no hope. I think this shows that they are insane--all they talk about is condemnation. I wonder how many of them sincerely believe they are the only ones who will be "saved"--and are they even sure of that? Their concept of God is of a judgmental being who enjoys destruction--how could they be sure they wouldn't be crushed by their God just for living in this "wicked" country?

That's what they do to make money. They video tape counter-protests, identify any action they can sue for and file against the individuals. RSU has just handed them the tape. WBC isn't a "CHURCH", it is a business. The only way they get away with using the word "Baptist" is because there's no law that says any REAL Baptist church has to accept them. What I don't get is why the IRS continues to grant them status as a church. It is a family of lawyers out to make money and is strategically placed in an enclave of morons to provide a steady stream of serfs to hold silly signs.
