1. Someone spent ALOT of time editing that slick video. I wonder why.
It was too slick by half. Someone's agenda needs to be considered. That is all I'm saying.

I have no direct answer, just that observation. Follow the string to the end is my advice.

5. Did anyone see any violence from the protesters?
Looks like it is all coming from the cops.

In the one shot, it looks like a person is trying to leave the area the police blockaded and was he was swarmed.

14. It's "too slick" because it was produced by USA today.
All you had to do was watch til' the end of the video.

Propaganda indeed, but who for?

15. I am aware of who produced it. Not surprised either.
And yes, it sounds like your conclusions are correct.

Looks suspicious to me.

who really wants their mugshot in Home Security files??? Also, bandanas offer some protection against tear gas.

Or were you speaking about the police? ;-)

12. In the protests that I have been to, the people with bandannas
call themselves anarchist. They seem to me to be the only ones I've seen that get a little out of hand. (gate rattling, name calling) If any violence at any protest occurs, I would immediately consider them.

During the 05 protest in DC the police told me that there were only a few (I think he said 3) arrests made and that they were not anything to do with violence. Peace protesters and progressives as a whole are against violence.

13. They're not all bad, though.
They often perform great things for protests, like keeping people aware of where the police are so they can avoid being cornered. They're also more visible targets because they are so loud. If any violence occurs, I would immediately consider the police.

Seriously. Very few people at those protests *want* to go to jail. They're speaking out about real problems, with America in general, the two party system, and Democrats. I won't say that they're wrong to be doing so. I don't agree with all of them, or even most of them, but dissent is patriotic.

17. The thing about guys wearing bandannas-
Is that sometimes they are not actually protesters. Sometimes they are sent in to create trouble and hopefully turn a protest violent.

18. Yes, I've heard that too.
I haven't seen the bandanna's getting ridiculous or anything. They seem to be mostly young and a little feisty. I'm not saying anything bad about them, just that they are young and feisty. In some ways, I admire them. However, at a peace protest, you have to keep some peace.

19. Thanks for the video link
Really, it's more like rule than exception - they have no honour. Allways funny to capture the provocateur pigs on video or photograph, though.

6. What did the protesters do wrong?
They were marching down the street. There was no violence, thus no chaos.

7. They're not operation chaos.
Well, some of them may be, but most of them are probably anarchists. They typically cover their faces during protests and such, with black bandannas or whatever they have handy.

And they are often useful for drawing attention of the police away from peaceful protesters. They'll keep in contact with the front lines and find out what the police are doing, and relay it back. They're often useful when you don't want your march to be pushed into some dead-end road and broken up by cops.

11. what a meaningless collage of moving images
You couldn't tell a thing about what was happened to start the violence. Whomever collected the audio interviews should be fired for not being able to find anyone who could actually explain what happened.
