is that he is one of our most brilliant and intelligent representatives on a wide range of policy issues and can speak about them in Congress and to the media in a down-to-earth and soft-spoken way that compels attention and enlarges understanding, and yet he can also give fiery, inspirational speeches like this one to get the crowd on its feet and put energy back into our spirits again. If you look at the speech, at the start, everyone seems totally disinterested. Out of it, not paying attention. By the end of the speech, last 30 seconds, Dennis has got the crowd, what crowd there was, standing and shouting. A great tribute to someone who was almost totally ignored by this convention.
